Sharon I. Radd, Ed.D.
Founder and Lead Consultant

Sharon Radd is an Associate Professor at St. Catherine University where she leads the Organizational Leadership program. She is also an Equity Fellow with the Midwest and Plains Equity Assistance Center at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis, and the Founder and Lead at Sankalpa Consulting. She specializes in the areas of equity and inclusion, leadership, organizational planning and development, and communication, conflict and decision-making.
Through her University and consulting work, Dr Radd supports leaders from a variety of sectors and backgrounds to hone their communication, conflict, planning, and decision-making skills and enhance their leadership in order to create more inclusive, effective and just organizations. Her ongoing research explores the complexities of public education as a transformative institution for social justice and equity, and the practice of leadership to create democratic, inclusive, and just communities.
Prior to her current roles, Radd gained more than 20 years of experience in public education as a school social worker, professional development facilitator, and school administrator. A 2006 Bush Leadership Fellow, she earned her Doctorate of Education in Leadership from the University of St.Thomas in 2007. In 2010, her study titled, “Connecting Private Roads to Public Highways: Toward a Theory of School Leadership for Social Justice” won the American Educational Research Association LSJ-SIG Social Justice Dissertation Award.
An enthusiastic and committed yoga practitioner, Radd infuses yogic principles and insights about self, relationships, learning, planning, and purpose into her teaching and facilitation in the service of restoring more authentic relationships and more expansive and optimistic intentions for work.
